Y cwt cwch hwn oedd yr ail ar y safle ac fe'i cwblhawyd ym 1911 i fod yn gartref i fad achub modur newydd ar ôl colli'r bad achub 'GEM' yn drasig ym 1910. Adeiladwyd y cwt cwch cyntaf (yr 'Hen Hen') yn 1869 (https://skfb.ly/pFqQS) ac mae'r adeilad carreg bach y tu ôl, gyda'r llithrfa wreiddiol i'w weld o dan yr un newydd.

This boathouse was the second at the site and was completed in 1911 to house a new motor lifeboat after the tragic loss of the lifeboat 'GEM' in 1910. The first boathouse (the 'Old Old' one) was built in 1869 (https://skfb.ly/pFqQS) and is the small stone building behind, with the original slipway visible underneath the newer one.
