Human Hand Bones - Thumb
thingiverse
This project utilized a Next Engine Laser scanner in partnership with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the Center for Parabiotics Research. The files can be modified, such as creating space for sensors or attachment points for ligaments and tendons. A channel can also be added for wiring or lighting. An example image is provided to illustrate this modification. The hand bones are labeled from SCP to 5MC. After printing with an Up3D! printer, individual files may require scaling if they appear incorrectly sized. The average hand bone dimensions can be found online.
