Human Eyeball
sketchfab
The model is brought to you by Sketchfab and Microsoft, and modeled on a Surface Pro 3 that Microsoft provided for the task. This is an atomically correct model of a human eyeball. Shown here are the Sclera (white of the eye), Cornea (cover over the front of the eye), Lens, Iris (over the lens), Pupil (opening in the Iris), and the Optic Nerve (covered by the Orbital muscles and Cornea). Also shown are the Rectus muscles (lateral/medial for left/right movement, inferior/superior for up/down movement). Not shown are the Oblique muscles, which would usually hook inside the Orbit (eye socket) and rotate the eye. If I can figure out an elegant way to include the Obliques, I will add them in shortly. Also, I am still modeling an exposed section of optic nerve. For more information on the muscles of the eye and their function, check out this awesome video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd7OOJ7c1q4
