Human Brain
thingiverse
This is my brain at age 23, shown in a detailed analysis of its cortex. Using freesurfer, the cortex was carefully extracted and separated into distinct parts: right hemisphere, left hemisphere, and full cortex. Notice that the inner structure of the brain is not hollowed out, making it visible even with a limited resolution. Printing such complex designs can take an excessively long time. What are the components of this 3D brain model? - Dropped-down STL files: 1. A single file containing both hemispheres: 3Dmari.stl. 2. Left hemisphere in its own file, left marianne.stl. 3. Right hemisphere in a separate file, right marianne.stl. Original Brain Images: - High-resolution STL files are also provided: 1. Left hemisphere pial model: lh.pial.stl 2. Right hemisphere pial model: rh.pial.stl Instructions can be found here: https://opencourses.hackpad.com/How-to-3D-Print-Your-Brain-djzEU6SugGk A note of full disclosure: As a neuroimager, this task might be less daunting for me compared to individuals who don't have easy access to MRI technology.
