Hula Whoop gate
thingiverse
I crafted a hula hoop gate, featuring two distinct versions - one utilizing the full hoop and the other employing the entire length of the hoop cut in half. The half-hoop version boasts feet that can stack on top of each other, although they don't fit tightly together, this arrangement still provides sufficient support for carrying purposes. To maintain their shape when not staked down, there's a hole where you can tie some twine to fill in the gap. Additionally, you can use these holes to attach the gate to a wall if needed. This half-hoop design comes with either two or three feet for added stability - I initially thought each foot required three extensions, but surprisingly, just two proved sufficient. To make the hoops more visible from within, I applied colored electrical tape as stripes. However, it's worth noting that these stripes are easier to see indoors than they would be outdoors. I used four perimeters to enhance the gate's overall strength. The infill can be customized according to your preferences, and this design doesn't necessitate additional support.
