The original device utilizes 6mm Flobert blanks or similar short blanks (0.22 inch) and is designed without projectiles; it merely acts as a tube for directing sound waves. It's legal in some areas, but ensure you verify its legality before proceeding. To assemble, use the inner ring of a 6x19x6 bearing as a holder for the 6mm blank. However, if you're unsure about how to use it, it's better not to attempt it.
