Huhu (Māori Bullroarer)
thingiverse
This item is inspired by a traditional Maori bullroarer design used in ceremonial contexts. To produce a deep, pulsing sound, it's swung rapidly on a string. Some believe this sound can annoy malevolent spirits. The original designs were much more intricate, but this version can be adapted for children with guidance on incorporating cultural patterns. Made from 4-5mm MDF or solid plywood using laser cutting techniques.
