This massive nut was specifically designed for the Wanhao Replicator 4 printer but will likely function just as well on other models too. It is an improved version of Mike Linus's incredible NUT JOB project, with some additional features to ensure that spools stay securely in place. Originally, I duplicated the nuts provided with the printer almost exactly (refer to source), but decided to create larger versions as well to prevent spools from ever falling off again. Here are its key specifications: Outer diameter measures 55 mm from one flat edge to the other. Thickness is a substantial 6 mm. Inner diameter was expanded from the original 30 mm size up to 31.2 mm, which ensures that accurate prints at this exact diameter can be produced. The thread step or gap is an even 1.5 mm in size. Thread angles have been precisely calculated to come in at a precise 45 degrees.
