Huge Snowflakes - from the Snowflake Machine

pinshape

These enormous snowflakes measure over 200mm across and were created with the Snowflake Machine: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1159436. The models are optimized for printing on an Ultimaker 2 using ABS and a standard .4mm nozzle, at .1mm layer height. They take up almost the entire built plate of the printer. If you want gigantic snowflakes that are already tested and ready to go, then print these. But it's far more exciting to create your own, so go do that at the Snowflake Machine! For 200mm snowflakes, set the "Target Diameter" to 200 in the "Global Size Settings". At this size you can easily design snowflakes with eight or more steps! ----- Twitter: twitter.com/mathgrrl Hacktastic blog: www.mathgrrl.com/hacktastic Shapeways geekhaus store: www.shapeways.com/shops/mathgr...
