It is a great advantage to use THETA (a spherical camera, RICOH) on HUG-MON. When taking spherical photos remotely without a regular mount, such as a tripod, it's essential to put the THETA camera upright on a flat surface like the ground. If the surface is damp or dusty, like a beach, snowfield, or gravel road, you might hesitate to take the shot. Even with careful placement in a bag, keeping it upright and steady can be tricky, leading to the risk of damaging the lens if it falls (something I have unfortunately experienced myself). Moreover, using a standard mount due to its size and weight can be exhausting and involves connecting the camera and mount at the screw points, which can be fiddly. However, if you're using HUG-MON with your THETA camera, the benefits are clear. You save time searching for a perfect spot to shoot and avoid the hassle of attaching and detaching the equipment from the camera body at each connection point.
