This project involves a large format 3D printer, Baby-Huey, which may benefit other endeavors as well. Although still in development, Huey has been assembled and functions as intended. The printer utilizes four skate bearings for movement along a 25.4mm square tube, requiring support from M6 threaded rods or imperial alternatives. Two-sided stepper motors or idler pulleys can be fitted with adapter plates, while the shaft is 12mm in diameter. Recently, the design has been simplified to a two-bearing system with no future plans for this part's use. Each bearing holder consists of two parts and fastens against a 8mm diameter shaft using M3 screws. Printable 8mm pins can maintain bearings in place, and support structures are removable if necessary, so accidental damage is not a concern.
