Hue Outdoor angled holder/mount
thingiverse
My house sits just a few feet away from a busy parking area where many people walk by every day. The problem was that my outdoor lights kept turning on due to a motion sensor mounted at 5-6 metres height, so I needed a solution to point it more towards my front yard. The standard mounting bracket wasn't ideal for this task since the screw is located at the bottom of the sensor and becomes hard to access when trying to angle it downwards. Instead of using carpentry skills, I decided to 3D print a new mount that would allow me to adjust the angle as needed. To get started, I laid the printer on its side with the default orientation. For this project, I chose to use three layers per perimeter, ensuring that the arms of the mount would be solid and stable when completed. The thickness of each arm is 2mm, so it's essential to have a good foundation for optimal performance.
