Hue Dimmer Switch Adapter

Most Hue users equipped with a dimmer switch will likely face the challenge of wanting to use their traditional light switch instead. Attempting to remove the traditional light switch by connecting cables and placing the dimmer switch over the hole is not a feasible solution for everyone. To address this issue, I created the Hue Dimmer Switch Adapter! To install the adapter, simply remove the original frame and top plate of your switch, then mount the adapter frame over your original switch. The adapter frame can be secured with glue or four screws to the wall. The top of the frame is designed to resemble the back of the Hue mounting plate, allowing you to snap your Hue mounting plate onto the adapter frame. The primary advantage of this adapter lies in its ability to cover and protect your traditional light switch without requiring direct interaction. If needed, you can easily remove the Hue plate and access your switch through the adapter frame. This adapter comes in several versions to accommodate various lighting configurations: - The universal frame is designed to fit most standard light switches and must be glued or screwed to the wall. - The raw frame allows for customization by cutting a hole specifically tailored to your needs, available with 11mm and 13mm inner heights. - Berker Modul 2 and S1 versions are crafted to work seamlessly with their respective mounting tools and frames. - Legrand Creo and Diplomat versions offer compatibility with these specific light switch series. Tolerances and gaps have been carefully fine-tuned to ensure a perfect fit. The adapter frames were successfully printed on Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker S5 machines without any issues. If the frame does not fit correctly, it may be necessary to adjust your printer settings, flow rates, or scale the model to suit your specific needs.
