Hue Dimmer Switch Adapter
thingiverse
In my old home I had plenty of Philips Hue lights and switches installed everywhere. Most of my bulbs were replaced with Hue bulbs, but I didn't want to have both a Hue switch and a decora rocker switch controlling the lights at the same time. To solve this problem, I designed these adapters to fit over existing decora rocker switches while still giving me access to the physical switch behind the Hue dimmer. The Hue Dimmer is held in place with magnets glued using contact cement to recessed holes in the adapter behind the switch. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any magnets that were both strong enough and the right size to securely hold the Hue Dimmer, so I re-used the magnets that came glued into the original Hue Dimmer plates. I have added the STL files for a single gang, dual-gang, 3-gang, 4-gang, and hybrid adapter. The hybrid adapter is useful in situations where you have a dual gang but only want or need a single hue switch. It can be mirrored in your slicer to change the position of the hue adapter section from left to right. To save filament and minimize support material required for printing, I printed them face-down except for the hybrid adapter. I uploaded F3D files recently because I was learning Fusion 360, but be aware that these files may still be a bit messy due to my inexperience with the software.
