Hubsan x4 frame
thingiverse
A replacement frame is being designed for a Hubsan X4, with plans to print and test it within the next couple of days. A top cover still needs to be created, while the battery will temporarily be secured by a rubber band or Velcro. An updated version has been released, featuring a bottom-mounted control board. It was printed in PLA with a .3 fill, weighing under 10 grams and could potentially be lightened further. The design has also seen changes to motor wire channels, larger motor holders, and adjusted board mount hole locations. Tested on 26/6/13, the frame is slightly heavier than standard but still flies well; however, it requires a few small screws for the circuit board, as the wires weren't quite long enough to utilize the grooves. Version 1.6 has been uploaded, which is expected to be lighter due to some components being omitted and has not yet been printed.
