Hubsan H501s Drone Quadcopter legs
thingiverse
This is a clip on legs and carry frame for the Hubsan H501s quadcopter / drone, expertly designed to enhance its functionality. Assembled effortlessly, it clips directly onto the drone, providing a sturdy platform for added accessories like cameras, batteries, radios, lights, etc. The clever design also keeps propellers safely out of the grass. Crafted from high-quality PLA, the legs are carefully printed separately and then attached to the frame using glue, ensuring a secure fit. Note that the frame's side with the small "knob" is positioned at the front, while its shorter back end perfectly avoids the battery door. For optimal camera placement, the two side tabs on the frame can be used to securely tie down a downward-facing camera. This handy carriage has successfully survived several rough landings, proving its durability. If needed, it's easy to print another one. To achieve maximum lightness, I opted for minimal weight in my design. The OpenScad software was used to create this innovative design, allowing users to easily customize and adjust the model according to their specific needs. Update: On January 10th, 2017, separate STL files were added, along with an alternate leg option for those who prefer to place the frame at the bottom.
