Backers Unite to Build Hubble Laser Cutter, a Community-Driven Project After the apparent abandonment of the Hubble Laser Cutter Kickstarter campaign, a group of enthusiastic supporters has come together to create an open-source laser cutter. They're taking matters into their own hands, leveraging the few STL files made available to redesign the parts in OpenSCAD. This is just the beginning, and more updates will follow over the next few days as the project evolves. The community-driven initiative has already seen significant progress, with all 4 unique corners and straight pieces redesigned. However, there's still a need for reference parts to complete the design.
