You can install standard longboard wheels on Backfire G2T hub motors just like you would on a belt drive board. To do this, you'll need some basic hardware. A 12mm threaded rod and a threaded rod coupler are the only things required. First, remove the urethane from your hub motor. Next, replace the locknut on the axle with a threaded rod coupler and an 8mm rod extension that's roughly 2 inches long. You might need to trim the coupler slightly so it fits snugly against the wheel without sticking out too far. Finally, add washers where needed to keep everything spinning smoothly.
