Hub Bub - Wind Power (2016 Science Olympiad)

thingiverse

This is a straightforward Wind Power wind turbine suitable for the 2016 division C Science Olympiad. It meets all competition rules, but make sure to verify dimensions before using this design. The Hub Bub is an uncomplicated hub that allows easy attachment of 1/8" wooden dowels to secure fins onto the CD. The Super Hub Bub functions similarly, except it supports eight dowels instead of four. Keep in mind that a printer capable of printing accurate dimensions is necessary; otherwise, you'll likely spend considerable time either gluing or sanding the dowels. The dowels should be firmly attached while in place yet still removable. A helpful tip: glue to the shiny side of the CD. Note: As of upload, this design has not been tested in competition and comes with no guarantee of performance. Printed Parts Required: 1x Hub Bub -or- 1x Super Hub Bub Hardware Needed: 1x 48" long 1/8" Dowel Rod 1x Super Glue 1x Standard CD
