Plastic version of a metal dust cap for a bicycle front wheel. It pushes over the bearing cone and the outer lip is meant to fit lightly into a groove in the rubber seal that is in the center of the wheel. It acts as additional protection from dirt and water. This design is very common on older and cheap bikes. Dimensions of the one pictured are for the 3/8th (9.53mm) axle. ID = 17.2mm OD = 25mm Inner Lip Height = 1.0mm Outer Lip Height = 1.5mm 2nd Aug 2021 :- Added dust cap for the 5/6th (7.95mm) axle.
