Huawei Sun2000-L 60mm Fan Holder, V2

This is a sturdy holder for a 60mm fan to be used under an Huawei Sun2000L inverter. Two of those brackets can be placed under a single inverter, with a total of two fans. As heat rises, the fans do need to do little work to help what is already happening by natural convection. The part does slide behind the inverter, and grabs onto the heatsink fins.I've printed my first couple of prototypes using PET-G, 0.5mm nozzle, 0.8mm extrusion witdth, with an infill of 15-20%, three vertical and horizontal shells, layer height 0.2. You will get a very sturdy print, overall weight is about 50 grams per piece.Once printed, the part might fit a bit loose on the heatsink, you'll need to heat up the two clips that grab the heatsink and slightly bend them in to create an optimal grip.The fan holes are printed at a 3.6mm diameter, you should be able to just screw in two M4 bolts and create the threads that will hold the fan properly. I've created on the left side of the bracket a small block to ziptie the fan cable onto as a sort of strain relief. Mirror the whole print if you want this detail on the right.Overall results are very promising, my inverter lives in a hot room (facing south-west) and it dropped during peak production from 60-65°C to 45-47, in above 35°C ambient air; with the fans running just at 5V creating only a slight breeze.I have added two different versions of this design, one with a lowered air baffle (12mm vs the original 20) and as one with no baffle at all (like the original design).Use good fans! I've had good luck with sunon's MF60151V3-1000U-A99 which are 60x60x15, 12V, 17.6CFM at 3000 rpm / 21.3dBA. Also Delta's AFB0612 would work well. Pick fans with either ball or magnetic / vapo bearings and you'll get years out of them.
