The Max file includes V-Ray, mental ray, and Standard (Scanline) materials; other formats are mesh only, necessitating material reapplication. The native format is 3DS Max 2011, and poly count can be increased through Meshsmooth and TurboSmooth levels. The 3ds Max file features V-Ray materials and textures, while the .obj and .3ds formats include geometry with texture mapping coords but no materials.
