I designed a Huarong Dao Set with original Chinese characters intricately engraved on it. The Chinese name for this game is Klotski, which can be easily accessed by visiting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klotski. This classic solitaire game has earned its reputation for being quite challenging. Check out the link provided to discover how it's played and what the ultimate goal is. Since I don't own a physical set, I used the photograph available at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klotski#/media/File:HuaRongDao.jpg. To recreate this piece, I tried using automated vectorizations but wasn't fully satisfied with the results, so I took on the task of manually designing each part - and put in some real effort to get it just right! The design consists of 8 different models: one representing the game board, and seven distinct pieces that players will interact with. You'll need to print out four copies of the small square pieces, while only printing one copy of each other model. Taking into account the side length of a single piece as one unit, every component has a 0.02-inch thickness. This intentional gap is there to allow for smooth sliding when playing the game. Unfortunately, I don't have any expertise in Chinese writing systems. The characters used on the pieces were created using a font found at: http://www.myfontfree.com/dflikaishu1b-myfontfreecom71f129323.htm.
