This pulley was designed specifically for an electric skateboard transmission, where a Mecano brand nut is supposed to be inserted into the square hole at the bottom by using a welder or any other method to heat the nut, allowing an 8mm Mecano brand bolt to pass through the round hole and securely attach the pulley to the motor shaft. A metal pulley will always outperform those made of ABS plastic, which typically last for only five or six rides.
