HTC Vive Pro Sound Improvement - No Support Version
thingiverse
I don't like supports, but I especially dislike them when they're placed against a sliding surface. I'm just too laid back to bother with post-processing. So, I tweaked https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2896509 to print without any supports. - Divided it in half with clip-together joiners (thanks BOSL) - Removed the nice curve at the top of the spring so each piece has a flat bottom It's not as attractive now, but there are limited overhang angles left. I'll upload the OpenSCAD source to GitHub soon so people can adjust tolerances if needed. I've only been using this for about a day. Once clips have proven they last a decent amount of time, I'll remove the work-in-progress tag. Edit: Now retains some of the original's curves where possible, and includes a version with 2mm more space inside the clip so you can line it up with adhesive felt.
