HTC Vive Lighthouse Shelf Mount
thingiverse
This is a shelf mount for the HTC Vive lighthouse, designed to replace the standard wall mount part. To optimize the setup, I positioned the shelf near the corner of the room and mounted the lighthouse to the front of it instead. By doing so, line of sight remains unobstructed. Customize this design for your specific shelf's thickness, print, remove excess material from the thin support, screw it into your shelf, and secure it with the original plastic "nut" to tighten the ball into the mount. You will need: A Vive headset 2 or 3 short screws suitable for screwing through your shelf Print Settings: Printer: BigBox3d Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 35% Notes: This design should print well in most materials, but I'm using PLA. Post-Printing: Remove the thin base so that you can slide the bracket onto the shelf. Design Details: This mount was created using OpenSCAD and the thread library from dkprojects.net/openscad-threads.
