HTC Vive Lighthouse Mount
thingiverse
I needed a way to secure one of my HTC Vive lighthouses firmly against the wall in front of my computer for Elite: Dangerous and Assetto Corsa without altering the two mounts it comes with, which I preferred to keep in the living room. This mount is simple to screw into place using just two screws and features an effortless sliding mechanism that ensures the lighthouse remains perfectly stationary. The power cord might be slightly tricky to access at times but fits neatly into its designated slot. I deliberately left the bottom hole exposed as a precautionary measure, anticipating that additional security might be necessary; however, this proved entirely unnecessary. For my 3D printing efforts, I employed a layer height of .2mm and an infill percentage of 10% with PLA filament at a rate of 80mm/s. If you're working with ABS material, it's advisable to scale your print up by 101% to compensate for shrinkage that often occurs. The model requires extensive support structures during the printing process but remains relatively straightforward otherwise. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this project.
