Attachment for HTC VIVE Deluxe Audio Strap to hold 4 18650 battery as counterweight on the back of the headset. Inspired by this battery holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2674472 and recreated from scratch.

After testing a raw weight attached with tape and seeing the noticeable increase in comfort the counterweight produces, I made this simple (and detachable) system to add from 1 to 4 18650 batteries to the back of the deluxe audio strap.
It brings a completely new level of comfort to the vive, the pressure to the face is practically gone and the distributed weight makes it feel like it is lighter.

Print instructions

Files in version 3.1 solve few issues with v3, all parts are made to be printed without supports. I printed with Prusament PETG at 0.15 mm layer height, 240C/90C, infill 15%.
The battery holders can be glued or, as I did, attached with strong double-sided tape.
The locking insert at the bottom might require a bit of sanding to make a good fit and a small screw to completely block it in position (with the tight fit is not really necessary but the hole was there...).
