You need an adapter plate for the HTC Vive's Lighthouses, which are available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/HTC-Vive-Base-Station-pc/dp/B01M01B92P/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1519539092&sr=8-3&keywords=htc+vive+lighthouse. Use two Command Strips and the regular mounting plate slides in easily. There's a hole for mounting the plate with a screw, making it easy to hang. This adapter was designed specifically to minimize damage to dorm room walls.
