HTC Vive base station tripod adapter(fixed ver. of lluisgl7)
thingiverse
The adapter that connects a 1/4'' standard camera mount to an HTC VIVE ball mount for Lighthouse performs flawlessly. However, I encountered an issue when trying to insert a standard 1/4'' nut into the central pocket of the original design. This is because the original design features a 10.5mm hole, which falls short of the 11.1mm size required by standard 1/4'' nuts. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to find the specific nuts used in the original adapter. To resolve this issue, I made some minor adjustments to the original design, allowing for a standard nut to fit snugly into place. In the accompanying images, the black adapter is the original version designed by its creator, while the white adapter showcases my modified design. To assemble the modified adapter, you will need the following additional hardware: 1. A standard tripod with a 1/4'' nut that measures less than 11.5mm in diameter. 2. Two M5 screws 3. Two M5 nuts Please note that the size of the nut is defined by its distance between parallel edges, not the vertices of the hexagon. The modified FreeCAD file and generated STL file are included for your convenience.
