HTC Vive Base Station Slide-In Mounting Bracket
prusaprinters

I wanted some way to mount the base stations without drilling any holes. My first idea was to use some of those adhesive mounting tapes. So I designed the brackets, which would accept the original mounting brackets. I would be able to (un)mount the base stations without having to undo any screw or having to rerun the room setup (as long as the position of the original mounting brackets on the base stations remained unchanged).

Uncertain of the whether or not the adhesive would support the weight of the base stations, I also made a bracket that would slide over the corner of my book case. This bracket is rather bulky. I wanted to be able to mount the base station both horizontally and vertically (door could get in the way). The dimensions also prevent it from tipping over. For some extra piece of mind I added a hole that matches a m3 hole in by book case, but the bracket seems to be stable/secure enough without it.

Some ca-glue was used to secure the 'slide in' bracket to the corner bracket.

Print instructions

Category: Computer Print Settings

Printer: Anet A8

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.3

Infill: 20%
