HTC U12+ HR GRIP Adapter
thingiverse
There is no HR GRIP adapter available yet for the new HTC U12+ smartphone, so I took matters into my own hands and designed one myself. As a proud owner of an HR mount in both my car and on my bike, I needed two adapters - one for each vehicle. To make it easier to assemble and reduce the risk of damage or misalignment, I divided the adapter into two parts: Part A, which is attached to the HR base, and Part B, which holds the smartphone itself. These parts need to be glued together with a strong adhesive. Since my own prints were made from Coro Technology's black PCABS (a composite material that combines ABS with Polycarbonate) using their 175mm spool, I found that acetone works flawlessly for bonding them together. Based on my experience, I recommend printing Part A first and checking its fit on the HR base before moving on to Part B. If necessary, a bit of sanding may be required depending on your printer's calibration. However, I'm unsure how well this adapter would work with PLA since it hasn't been tested yet - perhaps it will be fine. The adapter is specifically designed for use with the HTC U12+ smartphone that comes equipped with its original clear protective sleeve.
