HTC Re Quick-Release Tripod Mount

HTC Re Quick-Release Tripod Mount

I picked up two HTC Re cameras when they were deeply discounted in October. These little cameras are incredible value for capturing time-lapses at that price point. However, to capture proper time-lapses, you'll need to be able to mount them on a tripod with power available. So I quickly created a quick-release tripod mount for the Re in Solidworks. This design includes a recessed area in the bottom so users can plug in their USB cable without any hassle. The quick-release mount measures 35mm by 42mm, but it's essential to note that not all quick-release mounts may be identical. The one featured here fit perfectly with my existing tripod in the studio, which has been my go-to for time-lapses. The base should be easily adjustable if needed. Two versions of this design are available: one that requires printing with support and another that doesn't. The version showcased in the images is the one that needs support material, but both prints will yield excellent results. Enjoy experimenting with your new Re cameras!
