To enhance my biking experience and track details like distance, speed, and calories during an upcoming road trip to New York for a wedding, I decided to create a cell phone mount. With the weekend free, I designed, built, and tested this simple yet versatile mount that can be used on both bikes and cars in various configurations. It fits the HTC Evo 4G with a Rocketfish case, while other cases might work as well. My inspiration came from two Thingiverse designs, and I ensured several features like unblocked speakers, camera, microphone, micro USB port for charging, accessible volume rocker, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The 3-point contact provides a strong grip, even during jumps. For installation, print the mount and bar brackets for bikes using one or two brackets, and cut a 6AWG wire for car flex mounts. Use the provided hardware to complete the setup.
