North Design Works' Jonny has meticulously modeled the renowned Vincent Rapide Series A crankcases in SolidWorks, capturing the iconic engine's distinctive "Plumber's nightmare" design featuring a single oilway core. This historic motorcycle, with only 79 ever made and owned by celebrities like Jay Leno, was originally designed in 1936 by Phil Irving of The Vincent HRD Co. Ltd., Stevenage. Currently, North Design Works is collaborating with Whiskin Precision Engineering Ltd.'s Victor to program the models for CNC machining of blank castings using DelCAM software.
