The button on my HPI Roto start burned out on a flooded engine :-). I tried replacing it with several different buttons, but they all burned out also after a few starts. Picture 1 to 3....all failed. Fujisoku APE-1F >> burned Radiohm ST1034E >> burned Buttons I tried varied from 24 V to 120V at 1 to 3 amp, but they all fried. So that's when I went for some more drastic buttons. 12mm round 250V/1A lasted about two months. 16mm round 250V/3A lasted longer than the first one. My advice is to use the last one (16mm). https://www.bitsandparts.eu/Drukcontacten/Drukcontact-12mm-rond-rood-250V-1.5A/p1098854 https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/5-stks-partij-R13-507-16mm-Lockless-Reset-250-v-3A-Drukknop-Ronde-Schakelaar-Bouton-Poussoir/32950742265.html I made a holder that can be clamped into the roto starter. I sanded a little of the switch thread so it will fit in the holder with some force, and then soldered the wires. It works great! Update: 15-05-2019 After seven runs using the starter again, a button burned out. Now I'm using this one: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1-stks-V-156-1C25-15A-De-micro-schakelaar-Drukknop-SPDT-Momentary-Snap-Action-eindschakelaar-reizen/32860423798.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dMeHV7i I think 15A should last a while. It's an easy fit in the thing I designed, and all you need to do is solder two wires. Just bend the pins a little and it's done. Use the holder snap-on button for this one.
