HPI Q32 lipo battery holder
thingiverse
This battery holder is engineered to use existing screw holes in the chassis for a robust connection. The body doesn't fit over this design, but I'm currently working on a mold for a body that will fit seamlessly. You'll need the following components to make it work: HobbyKing's Aluminum 5mm Hex Rod (part number 34650) and HobbyKing's M3 Threaded Bar (part number 31812). The battery inside the car must be replaced with a cable running through the existing hole. I've found that this modification makes the car faster, thanks to higher discharge rates from the new batteries, and significantly longer run times are also achieved. To secure the threads, you may need to apply super glue or epoxy on the inside of the holes. If you're interested in using this design for commercial purposes, please contact me directly.
