HPI Firestorm Flux Wheel
thingiverse
The spare set was stuck in transit, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and created a replacement for my HPI Firestorm Flux's faulty wheel using Tinkercad. I printed it with 25% infill at a resolution of 0.2 millimeters, and it held up surprisingly well during its first test run on rough terrain. Although the edge did break off slightly, I attribute that to the extreme conditions I was pushing it through. As expected, supports were essential in ensuring a successful print. It's an excellent solution for emergency situations when spare wheels are nowhere to be found. I aimed to replicate the original design as closely as possible and managed to get it to fit perfectly – albeit with some minor modifications due to my novice CAD skills. However, the fitment should still be spot on, despite being a different wheel altogether.
