HP ZBook and docking station clamp
prusaprinters

When I started a new remote position last fall I was given an HP ZBook Power G7 15" laptop to work from. Since it will probably only leave my desk once a year I decided I wanted to get it out of the way. I wanted the setup to use a minimum amount of desk space but that would also keep the laptop held securely.

I designed this so that laptop rests on its stepped back hinge. Vents for cooling are built in. The clamp that holds it on to my desk is also the cradle for the hub/docking station, so it will hang off the back of the desk.

I wanted it to have a bit more of a footprint (for stability) so I added a a slot for files (or in my case a Surface Pro 4), USB-A/C, SD card, Post-it note organizer to the front. With all that the stand is still only about 3 inches deep so the laptop will comfortably sit behind my monitors.

Instructions

PLA - Printed Solid Jesse in Green Ice is pictured

0.2mm layer height

10% infill (I used gyroid)

No supports should be needed as oriented in the 3mf file

The threads on the clamp screw holes may be a little messy but they come out fully functional in my experience.

Additional Hardware Required

M3x8 screws (2x)

To connect the clamps to the stand body
