This is a custom mount for Garmin GPS devices designed specifically for HP Velotechnik Speedmachine recumbent bikes. The mount fits perfectly onto the 56 mm center steering frame column, allowing for ample play to accommodate a rubber protector. By mounting the Garmin quarterturn GPS device right at the center of the bike's frame, between one's legs, it becomes easily visible and positioned behind the steering tube, thereby eliminating additional wind drag. Adjusting the mount angle as well as the tube diameter can be achieved through fiddling with the f3d file, if required. Edge devices can be mounted directly onto the custom mount, while Oregon or etrex devices require an adapter; I highly recommend using this one (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2552306), which prints with minimal support and fits nicely. HP Velotechnik offers a standard official mount that attaches to the handle ends of the underseat steering, but it comes with the drawback of adding air drag. It's debatable whether investing in this specific recumbent bike is worth being picky about air drag. The clip used to attach the GPS is a remix of Björn Alinders' Garmin Quarterturn (Edge) mounting from grabcad, which was also made available under a CC-BY-NC-SA license. I made some modifications to this design: - Removed the screw assembly and added a groove to prevent the mount from turning against the assembly. - Added a slight chamfer to the tongues that clip with the GPS, making it easier for them to fit onto the device (this may only be necessary due to my 3D printer's inaccuracy).
