This is a custom-made 3.5" Floppy Drive Mounting Bracket designed specifically for Vectra series computers. My goal was to create a bracket that would allow my Gotek USB Floppy Drive Emulator to seamlessly coexist with the original floppy drive, making it easier to navigate the world of Retro Computing. The bracket supports several models of Vectra computers, including: * Pentium Series * Vectra XM5 * Vectra VL5 * Vectra VE5 * Vectra VA6 * Vectra XA5 / XA6 * Vectra 500 Series I employed a multi-step design process to bring this bracket to life. Here's an overview of how I approached the development: Design and Development: The process began with precise measurements using digital calipers, ensuring that every detail was accurate. I then used Fusion 360 software to create a detailed digital model of the bracket. After finalizing the design, I prepared it for 3D printing by slicing the model into individual layers. The Ultimaker 2 Extended+ 3D printer played a crucial role in bringing this design to life using high-quality PLA filament.
