HP Reverb Prescription Lens Adapter

HP Reverb Prescription Lens Adapter

This adapter snaps effortlessly into place, held securely by friction between the outside frame and the stock lens bezel. A gentle press is all it takes to snap it in firmly. To secure it, start by inserting the point of the angle first, then lay the back side in smoothly. I streamlined the design to eliminate the groove, as I found that getting lenses into a groove with PETG plastic was extremely challenging. This adapter is specifically designed for use with Zenni Optical round lenses (9.99 USD). I've ordered several pairs, each measuring 44mm in diameter, and they all work perfectly with these adapters. I've read that some lenses may be 41mm across, but those will also fit snugly in place with a piece of thick tape used as a shim. The adapter's shape is identical for both eyes, so there's no need to create separate left and right models. In fact, the stock lenses exhibit a slight variation, but I designed the adapter to accommodate either way. I've only tested these adapters on the HP Reverb headset, and I'm not aware of their compatibility with other HMDs. If you'd like to adapt this model for your own use, feel free to contact me, and I'll be happy to share the CAD files that I created to make the model.
