I recently purchased an HP ProCurve switch and have it taking up valuable space on a shelf. The excessive heat generated by the wires circling around the side was obstructing airflow through the air vents. In response, I created a custom riser to address this issue. This simple design leaves a 2 cm gap underneath the switch, allowing for easy cable management and improved ventilation. By printing four of these risers and attaching them to each corner, you can then feed your cables underneath as shown. This solution is not exclusive to the ProCurve switch; it can be adapted for use with any device that requires similar cable management and airflow optimization.
