HP Mixed Reality (VR) hinge replacement

HP Mixed Reality (VR) hinge replacement

I initially envisioned printing this in PLA as a trial run to gauge its fit and mechanical accuracy, with the plan to eventually print it in resin to leverage its superior strength. However, the final prototype has proven remarkably resilient and I've been using it for a month without any signs of wear or damage. To address the hinge's vulnerability, I added extra 60-degree supports on either side of the hinge cap to provide additional reinforcement. My initial design had a faulty hinge at this exact point, which necessitated this modification. I printed the revised model without needing to reorient it, utilizing the settings listed below. If there's sufficient interest in learning more about designing this piece, including the number of iterations and trial runs required to achieve optimal results, I'd be happy to share my process with you.
