This is the front bezel for the 3.5" drive bay on a small form factor HP5800. It may fit other models but I have only tested it on the 5800. Printer Settings Printer: XYZ daVinci 2.0 DUO Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 50% rectilinear Notes: This print requires 3.77 meters of plastic at 50% density. For myself, I estimated the unit cost to be $0.49 with ABS. The OEM piece was ABS. Post-Printing Finishing This object should fit directly in the original bay bezel spot. The front could be sanded to achieve a smoother appearance. How I Designed This Background Information The original bezel on one of our 5800s cracked. I attempted to fix it with epoxy, but unfortunately, the epoxy held for only about a week. If you lay the tower down on a desk and sit the keyboard in front of it, the corner of the keyboard is at the same height as the bezel. It can be accidentally pushed into the bezel. I measured an original one with dial calipers and drew the object in AutoCad 2011. I printed a prototype but wasn't satisfied with its strength. To improve this, I added a vertical support in the middle and increased the thickness by .02 so that I could sand the front for a smoother appearance.
