In HP EliteDesk 800 SFF and HP Z220/230/240 computers, an external/shared 3.5-inch bay is available for installing a card reader. These computers allow you to have one 3.5-inch HDD and one 2.5-inch HDD or SSD in a common configuration, plus a slim DVD. With these rails (you need to print two of them), it's possible to install a second 3.5-inch HDD into this bay. With two same-size HDDs, you can then create a RAID configuration. Rails have bumps that simply snap into the screw holes of a typical HDD. You also need to screw in two cheese-head (flat head) screws provided as a spare with your computer - they are screwed into the frame. These screws act as a stop for the locker mechanism of the bay. Keep in mind that the thermal condition of the HDD may not be optimal because the computer is cooled by one cooler.
