A HP Elite 8300 CMT was discovered in the scrap pile, sans heatsink and sporting proprietary mounting hardware. A solution was devised to adapt a standard AMD AM2/AM3 heatsink by crafting custom brackets for secure attachment. This innovative fix may also be applied to other HP systems equipped with an LGA 1155 socket.
