HP Chromebook Keyboard Key
thingiverse
My three-year-old managed to get their hands on my HP Chromebook 14, yanking off a few keyboard keys in the process. These lost keys left the laptop more or less unusable. I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands, so I grabbed a caliper and got to work on creating a replacement using Tinkercad. My printer, however, wasn't up to the task of producing a precise replica that could clip seamlessly onto the hinge. Despite getting close by adjusting the extrusion width, I eventually ran out of patience and opted for a simpler solution instead. I ended up printing the _without_clips.stl version and will likely secure the key cap directly onto the rubber nub with some super glue.
