In my "3D workstation," drive support brackets were glaringly absent, leaving me with a makeshift setup involving foam pieces that had served me decently until I upgraded to a raid configuration. At that point, the second drive was left hanging precariously in mid-air due to its complete lack of support. This glaring oversight needed immediate attention, so I designed and printed a custom mount to keep both drives at the optimal height for connection. The new mount relies solely on friction to stay securely in place against my laptop's chassis. I've already created identical mounts for both drives, and they perform flawlessly while looking more polished than their foam predecessors.
