HP 27f monitor VESA adapter
thingiverse
I picked up an HP 27f monitor because the low-resolution screen on my company laptop was driving me crazy, and I wanted to get some real work done while stuck in a hotel room for a week. When I take it home, I plan to mount it to a VESA mount arm. Unfortunately, the options for cheap monitors at Best Buy with VESA mounting didn't exist, so I looked for an adapter to purchase but couldn't find one that fit this model. This design should fit flush against the back of the monitor, effectively disabling the tilt function of the stock mount. If you want it to tilt after mounting, that functionality needs to be built into your mounting arm. I could create a version that allows vertical tilt, but I'd worry about the reliability of the part from fatigue and having a longer lever arm extending from the adapter. To improve reliability, I've reduced the tolerances in this version compared to my prototypes. You may need to shim the back side of the monitor slightly; I used a couple layers of black electrical tape. Bolt the adapter to the VESA mount using M4 bolts, washers, and nuts. I've included holes for 75mm and 100mm VESA patterns. I suggest using the 100mm pattern, but either should work.
